Alfred Frank Oleksy, 88, of Steubenville passed away Friday, November 12, 2021 at Trinity West Hospital. Frank was born April 16, 1933 in Steubenville. He is the son of the late Walter and Mary Kaczmarek Oleksy. Also preceding him in death are two brothers Edward “Red” and Henry “Herkey” Oleksy; four sisters Ida Bonitatibus, Martha Ciccarelli, Elsie Kaczmarek and Sophie Oleksy.
Frank was retired from Weirton Steel as a supervisor with over 35 years of service. He also served his country in the U.S. Air Force for four years, both home and abroad. Frank loved fishing and Cleveland Browns Football. He was a member of the American Legion Post #33 and the Polish Athletic Club.
Frank married the love of his life Jackie (Travis) Oleksy and spent 64 glorious years of marriage together.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are his four children Pamela (John) Koniski, Frankie (Melissa) Oleksy, Mike (Jamie) Oleksy and Shawn Oleksy; thirteen grandchildren John (Kristin) Koniski, Patty (Ryan) Henderson, Brett Oleksy, Brittani Oleksy, Dillon (Mariah) Hurd, Faith Olesky, Anna Oleksy, Haley Oleksy, Jayden Oleksy, Garrett Oliver, Jenna, Brenen, Derick and six great grandchildren.
Calling hours will be Thursday from 2 pm until time of services at 5 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. Fr. Tim Huffman will officiate.
