Anne Sugar

Anne Sugar (Rock), 97, passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2024. She was born August 29, 1927, in Czechoslovakia, to the late Paul and Anna (Kentos) Rock. She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Sugar, Jr. and her brother, George Rock.

Surviving are her children, Robert (Marti) Sugar, Cheryl Sugar (the late Thomas Valentine), Michael Sugar and David (Kristin) Sugar; two granddaughters Mary (Cedric) Lerouge and Robin (Peter) Bright; five great grandchildren, Maddy and Alex Lerouge and Chloe, Lily and William Bright; and brother Paul Rock.

Anne immigrated from Czechoslovakia when she was seven years old and lived in the Toronto, Ohio area for most of her life.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, December 11 from 5-7 PM at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville, where funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10 AM. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
