Barbara Bartemes

It is with great sadness that Barbara (Barb) Bartemes, age 93, passed away peacefully on February 6, 2025 at the Country Club Manor. Barb was born in Steubenville on February 24, 1931. Barb is the daughter of the late Charles and Winnifred (Starr) Feeney. She is preceded in death by her husband, Philip Bartemes, brother Francis Feeney, sisters Mary Skulich and Terry Cline.

Barb was a 1949 graduate of Steubenville Catholic Central High School and a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church.

Barb made a home filled with her eight children; Tim (Marisa), Tom (Kim), Kathleen (Bill) Mathews, Greg (Diedre), Becky (Jeff) Keeton, Jodi (Reno) DiCarlantonio, Eddie and Brian (Amy). She was blessed with 15 grandchildren; Dina (Andy) Cooney, Ryan (Jess), Carly (Tim) Black, Kelly, Ara (Liz), Sean (Shelby), Chad (Farah), Toby (Audrey) and Cory Keeton, Reno (Stacey), Olivia (Michael) Cibene, Cole, Luke, Cara and Zack. 14 great grandchildren; Brooke, Bo, Cruz, Camdon, Ellis, Lynde, Chloe, Ava, Nora, Caroline, Cullen, Shawn, Mia, Nina, and twins due in March.

Visitation will be held Friday from 3-6 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. A funeral liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Saturday at 11:30 am at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Fr. Matthew Gossett will celebrate. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
