Beate T. Engel-Doyle

Beate Theresia Engel-Doyle, 61, of Steubenville, died Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at her home after a courageous fight against cancer. She was born December 13, 1959 in Fulda, Germany to the late Ludwig and Marie Wehner Engel.

Beate was a beloved Associate Professor of German and formerly the Department Chair of Modern Language and Literature at the Franciscan University of Steubenville, and a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.

Surviving is her husband of 35 years, Robert C. Doyle.

Friends are invited to a funeral mass on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at 9:30 am at Holy Family Catholic Church. Burial will be private and held at a later date.

 In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the Teramana Cancer Center.
