Betty Thress

Betty (Elizabeth) Thress, 96, of Bloomingdale, passed away Thursday, October 10, 2024 in Dover. She was born in Mingo Jct., the daughter of the late Frank Garcia and Mary Slatniske Wilson. She is also preceded in death by her loving husband Henry, who passed away January 20, 1999.

She was retired from Denmarks, was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church & it’s CWC, American Legion Post 33 and Primetime. Betty loved to walk, read and work puzzles but most of all she loved her wonderful family and neighbors.

Surviving are daughter Linda (Ken) Yohman of Mineral City, OH; two sons Gary (Barbara) Thress of Milton, WV and David (Karen) Thress of Kulpmont, PA; 14 nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to a Memorial Mass that will be held Wednesday, October 23, at 10 am at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery where she will rest in peace next to her husband.
