Billy Jo Kugler

Billy Jo Kugler Sr., 62, passed away at his home in Bloomingdale where he lived with his wife Evelyn M. (Brown) whom he married February 21, 1981, on Sunday, July 2, 2023, after a 12-year battle with cancer.

Bill was born on January 21, 1961, to John F. and Donna M. (Clark) Kugler.

They had three children, Tiffinie M. Kugler of Wintersville, Billy Jo Kugler Jr. (Roxy) of Denham Springs, Louisiana, and Shane C. Kugler ( fiance Jessie) of Mingo Junction. Also, 13 grandchildren, (Tiffinie) Devin, Devon, CJ, and Joselyn, (Billy Jr.) Adam, Sara, Billy Jo III âBJã and Charlie (Shane) Hunter, Hannah, Haley, Nevaeh and Christopher; one great grandchild (CJ and Lexi ) Iris. A beloved, protective pet Precious.

Preceded in death by his father John F. Kugler. Sister Louann McElwain and Brother Johnny Lee Kugler. Brother in law John Woodland.

Surviving are mother Donna M. Kugler and Siblings Debra (Cody) Hatfield, Cindy (Don) Nelson, Jimmy (Missy) Kugler, Nona Woodland, Leo (Marisa) Kugler and Jodi (Patrick) Thomason. Countless cousins, nieces and nephews.

Together Bill and Evelyn made a point to make every child in their lives feel special, important and loved. They were providers and protectors of not just blood relatives but every child they ever met. They were known as Uncle Bill and Aunt Evelyn.

In April 2016 "Swingin Billy Jo" was inducted into the Ohio Valley Martial Arts Hall of Fame.

Calling hours are Friday 10 a.m. until services at noon. Robert Montgomery will officiate and burial will follow in Mt. Moriah Cemetery, Bloomingdale.
