Carol A. Hunt

Carol A. Hunt, 70, of Cadiz died Wednesday, August 5, 2026 at Trinity West Hospital. She was born March 13, 1956 in Steubenville. She is the daughter of the late George and Roberta Ferguson Staats.

Carol was a homemaker and a graduate of Steubenville High School class of 1974. She loved karaoke, animals, and flowers. Carol was a member of the Hope Players in Hopedale, OH. She was also the lead singer in the former Big River Band.  

Surviving are her husband Charles Hunt Jr.; one son Lucas (Tonya) Wright of Wintersville; two daughters Stacia (Erik) Archie of Wintersville and Frances (Joseph) Boone of Parrottsville, TN; brothers George (Mable) Staats of Weirton and Michael Staats of Wellsburg; 12 grandchildren and two great grandchildren on the way. Three step sons John (Tammy) Nelson, Aaron (Timothy) Nelson, Joe Nelson and step daughter Amy Francis.

Memorial visitation will be held Monday from 2-4 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd, Steubenville.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Urban Mission Ministries, 311 N 6th St, Steubenville, OH 43952.
