Carol Rose Kirkendall

Carole Rose Kirkendall, 84, of Caldwell, Idaho, formerly of Wintersville, Ohio, Died July 9, 2021, in Meridian Idaho.  She was born in Steubenville, Ohio, although she lived in Hamburg, New York until she married.  She was a member of Zion United Church of Christ of Steubenville.

Carole was primarily a homemaker, who loved her family, friends, and home.  She enjoyed gardening, sewing, opera, symphony, and especially college football and basketball.

Carole was preceded in death by her parents Samuel C. and Yola (Conti) Nicholls (DiNicola) and her husband of 57 years, James L. Kirkendall.  She is survived by three sons, Kenneth (Sheri) of Boise, Idaho; Kyle (Susan) of Mission Viejo, California; Kelly (Libby) of Baytown, Texas. Also surviving are one granddaughter Sarah Nicole of Bismarck, North Dakota, three grandsons: Nicholas James (Summer) of Strafford, Missouri; Darius James (DJ) and Dylan Thomas of Baytown, Texas.

Carole will be cremated, and the ashes laid to rest with her beloved husband in New Alexandria Cemetery.  A committal service will be held Saturday at 10 am at the cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be sent to Zion United Church of Christ, 139 North Fifth Street, Steubenville, Ohio 43952.
