Carol Lynn Rodriguez

Carol Lynn Rodriguez, 55, of Steubenville, passed away on Sunday, June 11, 2023, at her home. Carol was born on March 28, 1968, at Vandenberg Air Force Base, California, to Patricia Van Brusselen. Carol is predeceased by her son Ashton Benton and her grandmother Augustina Martinez.

Carol attended schools in Lompoc, Torreón Air Base, Spain, and Santa Maria, California.  Carol also took college courses at Allan Hancock College in Santa Maria, California, and Eastern Gateway in Steubenville.  

In addition to her mother Carol is survived by her spouse, Carlos Rodriguez; her son Erik (Alexandra) Benton; step-father Jeffrey Van Brusselen; brother Jason Van Brusselen; nephew Kai Liam Van Brusselen; grandfather Blas Martinez, Jr.; uncle Jon Martinez; aunts Margaret Martinez, Marisa Bernard and many extended family members.  

Carol will be sorely missed by her family and friends.  Since early age, Carol was the center of her family, sweet natured,  and brought great joy to us. Carol also loved to enjoy her margaritas.

Visitation will be held Saturday from 10 am until time of services at 1 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. Fr. Matthew Gossett will officiate.
