Carole B. Biggio, 84, of Naples, FL, formerly of Steubenville, died Tuesday, April 23, 2019, in Naples, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. She was born on March 26, 1935, in Steubenville. She is the daughter of the late Frank and Mary June Barilla. Preceding her in death are her husband, John B. Biggio, and granddaughter, Ella.
Carole is a graduate of Catholic Central High School, and was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She loved to travel, including to China, Australia, Europe and the American West.
Surviving Carole are three sons, Charles E. (Jess) Biggio of New York, NY, John B. (Lisa) Biggio, Jr. of Marblehead, MA, William J. (Allison) Biggio of Wakefield, MA; one daughter, Caroline M. (Todd) Hamina of McMinnville, OR; one brother, Jerry (Judy) Barilla of Steubenville; and seven grandchildren, Max, Mitchell, Katri, Lucca, Grace, August and Lucy.
Carole’s family would like to thank the entire staff at Terracina Grand, her home for the last eight years, and the caregivers at Assisting Hands (especially Pauline Wilkie) and Avow Hospice, for their kindness to our mother.
Calling hours will be Monday from 4-7 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. A funeral liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 11 am at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Fr. Tom Nau will celebrate. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
