Catherine O. Bonham

Catherine. O. (Fleming) Bonham “Cathy” age 81 of Steubenville passed away January 18, 2025 at the Laurels Of Steubenville. She was born July 18, 1943 in Steubenville, Ohio the daughter of the late Howard D. Fleming and Alberta J (Fox) Fleming.

She graduated from Steubenville High School in 1961. Cathy married Thomas J. Bonham on March 24, 1973, and enjoyed 51 years of marriage. She lived in Steubenville all her life. She was a member of the Salvation Army. You could find her in Kroger‘s every day for several years ringing the bell. She was known for her smile, laughter, and always had a story to tell. She loved crossword puzzles and reading. She was the youngest of five children.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Harriett A Davis, brother, Howard D. Fleming, sister, Eva  M. Fleming, brother in law David Richards, sister in law Ann Fleming, brother-in-law, Charles (Ed) Hopkins, Sr.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas, and one sister Joan W (Fleming) Hopkins (Newton Falls, Ohio). Although she never had any children of her own, she was deeply loved by her nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews.

Catherine will be cremated and a grave site service will be planned at a later date by Minister Charles E Hopkins Jr.
