Charles A. Young

Charles A. Young, 65, passed away peacefully of natural causes on Monday, July 29, 2024, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. Born on July 23, 1959, in Steubenville, Charles lived a life marked by dedication to his family, friends, and faith.

Charles worked for the Apostolate for Family Consecration where his commitment to service shone brightly. He excelled in sales and hospitality, touching the lives of many with his friendly demeanor and faith-filled spirit.

Charles was deeply involved with the Knights of Columbus Council 4361, member of the 4th degree Fr. Bigelow Assembly, showcasing his passion for community and charity. Some of the positions he held for the Knights were District Marshal for Ohio District 3, Captain of 4th Degree Exemplification Team, Faithful Navigator of his Assembly also Provincial Marshal. 

He leaves behind a loving family, including his brothers, Rick (Kathy) Young of Lompoc, CA and Billy (Sherry) Young of Mingo Jct.; sister, Lynn (Jay) Juresko of Mingo Jct.; fiancée Robin Harto; two granddaughters, Zyaire Pearson and Gemma Fuller; and several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Charles was preceded in death by his father, Charles Young; mother, Mary Sauro Young; sister, Catherine "Cathy" Burdge; and brother, Tommy Dimmit.

Calling hours will be held Friday 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. Additional visitation will be held Saturday at St. Agnes Catholic Church from 10 am until time of Mass at 11 am. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery.
