Chester J. Kasko

Chester J. Kasko, 96, of Steubenville died Saturday, August 12, 2023 at his home. He was born August 25, 1926 in Steubenville. He is the son of the late Joseph and Mary Szlesznski Kasko. Chester is also preceded in death by his wife Theresa Kostecki Kasko; two sons Daniel and David Kasko; son in law Rick Zapolnik and seven sisters.

Chester was retired from Wheeling Pitt Steel where he worked at the Mingo Plant as a rigger for 40 years. He was also a member of Triumph of the Cross Parish and was a bingo caller for Holy Rosary for many years. Chester was a former member of the Polish Athletic Club.

Surviving are two daughters Mary Jo Zapolnik of Steubenville and Joanne (Tim) Daugherty of Tempe, AZ.

Friends are invited to a Funeral Liturgy with Mass on Thursday at 1 pm at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Fr. Matthew Gossett will celebrate. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
