Christ I. Vergitz Jr., 70, of Steubenville died April 3, 2024 at Rolling Hills in Bridgeport. He was born August 15, 1953 in Steubenville. He is the son of the late Christ Sr. and Gertrude Roe Vergitz. He is also preceded in death by his sister Earvina “Jojo” Orban. Christ was retired from Wheeling Pitt Steel where he worked for 38 years. He was also a graduate of Steubenville High School class of 1971.

Surviving are one son Christ (Mika) Vergitz III of TN; two daughters Vicky (Danny) Filtz of Wintersville and Cassandra (Zack) Vergitz of Dillonvale; sister Christine Pavlik of TX; five grandchildren Kate & Meg Filtz, Graceyn & Jacob Vergitz and Ella Balthazor.
