Claire Skinner

Claire Skinner, 79, of Steubenville, went to be with the Lord on July 19, 2021, at Trinity West. She was born December 22, 1941 in Bellaire, OH. She is the daughter of the late William and Crystal Bruno.  Claire is  preceded in death by one daughter, Pamela Altieri and granddaughter, Diana Skinner.  

Claire was a homemaker and loved serving the Lord as a Sunday school teacher, church board member and youth director. She was a member of Weirton First Church of the Nazarene.

She is survived by her husband, Everett, whom she married in 1958;  three sons, Everett L. Jr. (Bonnie), William (Karen) both of Steubenville and Curtis (Shelley) of Toronto; two daughters, Janet (Mark) Valentine of Fairview, TX, and Christina (Eric) Lanham of Niles; one brother, John (Vicki) Bruno, of Rayland; 14 grandchildren, Jenny, Katy, Antoinette, Jessie, Angie, Ashley, Montana, Shannon, Maggie, Layne, Olivia, Joshua, Nathan, Ryan; and 12 great grandchildren.

She loved and enjoyed her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed the outdoors and spending winters in Florida with her husband.

Calling hours will be Friday, July 23, from 3-6 p.m. at Weirton First Church of the Nazarene, 475 Colliers Way, Weirton, WV 26062. Visitation will also be held Saturday from 10 am until time of services at 11 am. Burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens.  

Donations can be made to Weirton First Church of the Nazarene in lieu of flowers.
