Daniel L. Kearney

Daniel  L. (Dingle) Kearney, 88, of Wintersville died Saturday June 7, 2025. He was born Feb 7, 1937 in Steubenville ; the son of the late Joseph and Florence Palmer Kearney. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister Patti,  brothers  William (Billy), and John Kearney.

Daniel retired  from Weirton Steel  after 40 years as a supervisor in the hot mill. After retirement he delivered meals for the  Prime Time senior center for 13 years. Daniel served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War.

He was a member of the American Legion Post 33, Polish Athletic Club and Cadiz Country Club.

He was an avid supporter of  SHS Big Red Football, Ohio State Buckeyes and the Pittsburgh  Steelers.

Surviving are his wife Pamela Tedreau Kearney, whom he married August 22, 1992; fur baby Cruella, aka Stella; daughter Tina Smith of Steubenville; sister Marylou Palmer of PA; grandson Michael Smith and great grandsons Brendon and Gabriel.

Daniel will be cremated and there will be a memorial service at a later date. Interment at Mt Calvary Cemetery.
