Dolores E. Lucas

Dolores E. Lucas, known as “Dorie” by those who loved and cared about her, has passed. She was 95 and hers was a life well lived and she was a person well loved. Dorie was the daughter of the late John and Angela Maley Lucas. She is survived by her sister Carole McConnell, brother Jon and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Dorie loved family and was the cornerstone of hers.

She was a graduate of St. Peter’s and Steubenville Catholic Central High School. Dorie worked in the hospital field at the Gill Hospital, St. John’s Medical Center, Trinity West and the Sisters of St. Francis of Sylvania, OH.

Dorie was one of a kind. She cared about so many and was grateful for those who cared about her. Dorie would say: “I did the best I could” but she did far more than she knew. She made all of us better people for having known her and for having her in our lives.

To all of those who cared about her and all those who cared for her - Thank you.

Private services will be held and burial will take place in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
