Donald E. “Gene” Copeland, Jr., 62, of Steubenville died Saturday, May 9, 2020 at his home. He was born August 30, 1957 in Birmingham, AL. He is the son of the late Donald and Geraldine Williams Copeland.

Gene was the owner and operator of the former Copeland Construction Company. He also loved his cats and riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycles. Gene also served his country in U.S. Coast Guard.

Surviving are his wife Debora Price Copeland, whom he married September 14, 2012; two sons Clayton Copeland of Canton, OH and Shawn Moll of Florida; step son Michael (Michelle) Beck of Austintown, OH; step daughter Jennifer (Curtis) Petrey of Medina, OH; brother Daniel (Lorris) Copeland of Steubenville; sisters Ann (Michael) Moore of Marysville, OH and Donna (Steven) McDaniel of Elkins, AK; uncle Leon Williams of Birmingham, AL.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
