Doris J. Bertwell

Doris Jean Bertwell, 93, of Weirton, died Tuesday, December 1, 2020 in Maryland. She was born July 6, 1927 in Cambridge, OH. She is the daughter of the late Harold and Lilly Marker Ferguson. Also preceding her in death are her husband William Bertwell; brother Harold Ferguson, Jr.; sisters Edna Mae Looman, Delores Snyder and Shirley Capriotti.

Doris was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church. She loved spending time with her family.

Surviving are three sons William (Jacqueline) Bertwell of Upper Marlboro, MD, Albert (Patty) Bertwell of Clarksburg, WV and Dennis Bertwell of Columbia, SC; one daughter Linda Bertwell Maloney of Mechanicsville, MD; sisters Louis Lucas and Joann Baker both of Steubenville; one brother Raymond Ferguson of Steubenville; nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Calling hours will be Tuesday from 3-6 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. A funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, at Noon at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Masks will be required and social distancing will be expected.
