Edward Andrew Treglia 85 of Chandler, AZ formerly of Mingo Jct, OH. passed away at Chandler Regional Hospital, Arizona on
December 9, 2016. He bravely and successfully battled cancer over the past 15 months, but was left weakened and unable to overcome a lung infection.
He was born on December 3, 1931 in Steubenville, OH. He was the son of the late Antonio and Adeline "Lena" Antinone Treglia.
He was preceded in death by his brothers Paul and Richard, of Ohio.


Ed was honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy. He graduated from the College of Steubenville with a BS degree in Electrical
Engineering. He ended a long career as Superintendent at Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel, and continued serving the company for
number of years as a consultant and training coordinator. His extensive civic and fraternal service activities included Safety
Director of Mingo Jct., Ohio, President pro tem for the Board of Health, Library Board, School Board, President of his Parish
Council, Executive Officer for Knights of Columbus for Ohio, Grand Knight of Knights of Columbus Council 4361, and adjunct
Professor of Engineering Technologies at Jefferson Community College. He also served on various community college advisory
boards, as well as President and/or member of various social and fraternal clubs.


In 2014, Edward and his wife moved from Mingo Junction, Ohio to Chandler, Arizona to be closer to family. While in Arizona,
Edward was very active enjoyed swimming early every morning. For the last few years, he enjoyed spending time with his
grandchildren, cooking traditional Italian Sunday dinners for his family, building his model train display, tending to the garden and
fruit trees on his son’s property and staying active and involved in his community.


Surviving are his loving wife, Estelle Calvarese Treglia, of AZ, whom he married on August 17,1957; along with his three sons
Edward J (Melinda) of Clemson, SC, John A (Linda) of Columbus, OH, and Bryan D (Jessica) of Chandler, AZ, and 10 grandchildren.
Ed was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather and will be missed dearly. Calling hours will be from 2-6 pm on Friday,
December 16 at Mosti Funeral Home in Steubenville, OH. Funeral Service Mass will be at St. Agnes Church in Mingo Jct, OH at 10
am on Saturday, December 17. Entombment will follow at Mount Calvary. The family requests that memorial gifts be designated for
