Eileen Marie DeChristopher

Eileen Marie DeChristopher, 88, of Steubenville passed peacefully at home with her family by her side on Friday, July 15, 2022. A daughter of the late John and Blanche Ziarko Grantonic. Eileen was born on December 17, 1933 in Steubenville. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas DeChristopher on May 9, 1987, her brothers William and Donald Grantonic, and her sister Helen Benko.  

Eileen was very devoted to her Catholic faith and a member of Triumph of the Cross Parish. She belonged to the Catholic Women’s Club and the St. Francis Society and served as the treasurer to both clubs.

She is survived by her daughter, Karen (Willie) Paul and her sons, Lou (Becky) DeChristopher and Tom (Terri) DeChristopher, her five grandchildren, Amy (Matthew) Bailey, Julie Paul (Husband Kyle Crespin),  Kristen DeChristopher (Nate Clark), Thomas “TJ” DeChristopher (fiancée Alexandra Settepanella) and Brianna DeChristopher, great grandchildren, Jace Paul, Ava Bailey and Alaina Clark. She is also survived by her sister in law, Millie Grantonic and several loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Visitation will be held at Holy Rosary Church on Tuesday, July 19 at 10 am until time of funeral mass at 12 pm with Fr. Nicholas Ginnetti presiding.  Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Triumph of the Cross Parish, 200 Rosemont Ave. Steubenville, OH 43952.
