Obituary
Elaine Marie Panyi, 91, of Steubenville, quietly departed to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 surrounded by her family. She is the daughter of the late John and Evelyn Stone Scott. She is also preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Albert J. Panyi.
Surviving are her children Stephen J. Panyi and Susan L. (Panyi) Korch. She was blessed with 5 grandchildren, Jennifer, Amber, Scott, Brenna, and Arienna. Enjoying 5 generations, she had many great and great, great grandchildren. Elaine also left behind her beloved kitty, "Houdini".
She was a devoted homemaker, was an adept pianist for the First Congregational Church on Pleasant Heights, loved cats and nature (esp. the birds and the flowers), enjoyed walks in Beatty Park and the beautiful Union cemetery, loved to sew and crochet/knit, and appreciated the simple important things in life.
A private family service and celebration of life was held at Mosti Funeral Home and burial took place in Union Cemetery.

She was much loved, and her memories will live on in her family and friends. She will be greatly missed in this life!
