Elizabeth Murphy

Elizabeth “Betty” Murphy, 95, of Steubenville passed away on Friday, November 15, 2024 surrounded by loved ones at home. She was born August 28, 1929 to the late Isaac and Frances Manderick. Betty is also preceded in death by her husband William H. Murphy.

She is survived by her children Brenda (James) Tilton, Beverly (Donald) Hall, Rebecca Riffee, Robert (Monica) Murphy and Bonita (Ernest) Carroll; seven grandchildren Shannon Tilton, Sherrie Waller, Juliane Brumbaugh, Jacquelyn Riffee, Kaitlyn Hall, Morgan Aston, Dominick Murphy and eight great grandchildren.

Betty will be remembered as a loving and devoted  sister, mother, GiGi and friend. She valued family above all and could always be found with a house full of family and friends. She was dedicated to her faith in God and an active member of St. Pius X’s catholic church choir for over 30 years.

Betty’s family will celebrate her life in a private ceremony.
