Eva Wagner Obituary

Eva Guadalupe Wagner, née Felix, passed away peacefully at her home in Westerville, Ohio on June 9, 2025, surrounded by the love of her devoted family and cherished grandchildren. She was 61 years old.

Born on May 18, 1964, in Pericos, Sinaloa, Mexico, Eva was the beloved daughter of Guadalupe Avendaño and Hereberto Felix. She carried with her a deep-rooted strength, a joyful spirit, and an unwavering faith in God throughout her life. Her journey was marked by her love for family, her passion for cooking, and her devotion to her faith.

Eva always saw an opportunity to do great things. Whether it was migrating to the United States at a young age, learning new trades, or launching and building many businesses, she approached life with vision and courage. Her entrepreneurial spirit wasn’t just about success for herself—it was about creating opportunities for those around her. She mentored, encouraged, and lifted others up, always believing in the potential of every person she met.

Eva was a loving mother to Angela Vargas (husband Alfred Vargas), Scotty Wagner and Anayanci Silva (husband Jesus Silva). She was an adoring grandmother to Sabina Vargas, Sebastian Vargas, Arya Vargas, Emily Wagner, Jessica Wagner, Abel Wagner, and Max Wagner. She was also a cherished sister to: Jesús José Felix (wife Sonia Alves), Carolina Felix Torres (husband Francisco Torres), Hereberto Felix (wife Amalia Miranda) Maria Concepción Felix, Elena Reimer (husband Timothy Reimer), Maria “Cruz” Yohe (husband Brian Yohe), Jorge Antonio Felix, Nereyda Felix Payán.

She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Guadalupe Avendaño and Hereberto Felix, and her dear nephew, Jesús “Jr” Felix. Eva was a beloved Tía to many nieces and nephews, as well as great-nieces and great-nephews—each of whom held a special place in her heart. Her heart and her kitchen were always open, offering warmth, comfort, and nourishment to all who entered.

She was a woman of deep conviction and humility, whose faith guided her every step. Eva touched countless lives with her kindness, compassion, and tireless commitment to helping others. Through her testimony and example, many came to know Christ—something she considered her most meaningful life’s work. She will be remembered as a woman who lived passionately and gave selflessly—a friend to all, a nurturer of hearts, and a source of strength and grace to those around her.
