Frances A. Sohovich

Frances A. Sohovich, 87, of Wintersville died Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at Valley Hospice. She was born March 13, 1938 in Steubenville to the late Joseph and Mary DiBenedetto Orsini. She is also preceded in death by her husband Carl Sohovich and two brothers Joe and Bernard Orsini.

Frances was retired from Indian Creek School District where she was a Librarian for many years. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, the Wintersville Women’s Club and loved playing the one armed bandits.

Surviving are daughter Merideth “Missy” (Alan) Valkosky of Wintersville and sister Nancy (Don) Smith of Wintersville.

Visitation will be held Wednesday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church from 9:00 am until time of Mass at 11:00 am, Fr. Michael Gossett will celebrate and entombment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to Jefferson County Humane Society or Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
