Obituary
Frankie Zanetos Collaros of Steubenville, passed away on May 16, 2023 at The Laurels of Steubenville. Frankie was born on October 17, 1929, to Anthony and Lula Zanetos. She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Jack; three brothers, Nicholas, Thomas, and John; her sister, Beulah; and her son, Chris.
Frankie graduated from The Ohio State University in June 1951 and married the love or her life, Jack, in July 1951. From 1986 through 2007, Frankie owned and operated the Anthony-Thomas Candy Shoppe in the Hollywood Shopping Center in Steubenville. She was a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church and a member of the Philoptochos Society, a charitable and philanthropic organization.
Frankie leaves behind three sons, Pandel, Dean (Michelle), and Anthony (Cindy), and her deceased son, Chris’s wife, Sharon. She also leaves behind eight grandchildren: Zach, Lanae, Dimitrios, Erika, Ali, Maria, Sophia, and Zoe; and great-grandchildren Lucy, Meeko, Sierra, Capri, Carmen, and Elowen; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, Friday, 10:00 AM until the time of Liturgy at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery.
