Gabriele Recinella

Gabriele “Gabe the Barber” Recinella, 79, of Richmond died Thursday, November 12, 2020 at Trinity West. He was born June 24, 1941 in Rosciano, Pescara, Italy. He is the son of the late Raffaele and Anna Biasioli Recinella. Also preceding him in death are one grandson, Dakota Judy, brother Italo Recinella and one sister Perina DiMichele.

Gabe was the owner and operator of Gabe’s Hair Elegance for over 59 years. He was also a long time member of the Jefferson County Farm Bureau and avid hunter, hobby farmer, and a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.

Surviving are his wife Clara “Cookie” Arabia Recinella, whom he married November 16, 1963 and would be celebrating 57 years of marriage on Monday ; two daughters Julie (Jeff) Salancy of Salem, OH and Toni (Bob) Twaddle of Tippecanoe, OH; one brother Tony (Brenda) Recinella of Bloomingdale; two sisters Assunta Olivieri and Elda D’Ortenzio both of Steubenville; three grandchildren Justin Salancy, Angela(Adrian) Armijo and Dylan Judy. One great grandson, Valentino Armijo.

Calling hours are Monday 3-7 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd. A funeral Liturgy with mass will be celebrated 10 am Tuesday at Holy Family Catholic Church, Msgr. Gerald Calovini, celebrant. Entombment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Masks are required, social distancing will be observed, and no lingering after visiting.
