Gary W. Bennett

Gary W. Bennett, 71, of Wintersville died Thursday, September 24, 2026 at Valley Hospice. He was born June 25, 1955 in Canton, OH to the late Leo and Opal Stalnaker Bennett. He is also preceded in death by brothers Paul, his twin Larry and David.

Gary enjoyed spending time with his family. He also liked to collect quarters, lighters and liked to make fudge.

Surviving are three sons Gary K. of Friendly, WV, Derek R. of Amsterdam, OH and Joshua S. of Wintersville; one daughter Tonya (Lucas) Wright of Wintersville; brothers Steve (Sandy) Bennett of Bergholz, OH and Leo (Jenny) Bennett Jr; three sisters Sharon (Johnny) Ater of Bergholz, Phyllis Bake of Canton, OH and Vickie Bennett of Irondale, OH; 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, with two on the way.

Visitation will be held Wednesday from 1 p.m. until the time of services at 3 p.m. at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville.
