Gary Deffenbaugh Obituary

Gary (Punch) Deffenbaugh G. 73 of Palm Coast, Fl. Formally of Steubenville, Oh. Died June 30,2023 at Advent Health, Palm Coast, FL. He is the son of the late Howard “Blackie” Deffenbaugh and Rose Escalada Lemasters.

A Graduate of Jefferson Union High school 1967 and attended Youngstown State University where he was golden glove champion in boxing.

Gary was drafted in to the Army in 1969 and served in the Vietnam from April, 25, 1969 till January, 12, 1972 and was awarded two bronze stars. He was a part of Company B 4th BN 2nd BCT BDE. Hell On Wheels. He loved motorcycles, Cleveland Browns, Ohio State and was always the life of the party.

He is proceeded in death by his son Ross Deffenbaugh, Twin Brother Cary Deffenbaugh, and Brother Howard Deffenbaugh. Two Sister Mary Lemasters and Anna Dear.

Surviving is his wife of 40 years Virginia (Ginny) Diloretta Deffenbaugh. Two Sons Jacob Deffenbaugh and Wife Dina of Michigan City, MS and Marshall Lee Tempest and wife Rachel Hibbs of Pittsburgh, PA. Grand Children Jaden Deffenbaugh and Austin Deffenbaugh. Also surviving brother Harold Lemasters, sister Dorothy Williams and Husband Terry. Sister- in- law Sylvia Deffenbaugh and many Nieces and nephews.
