George G. Griffith

George G. Griffith, 86, of Steubenville died Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at Trinity West. He was born December 13, 1935 in Steubenville. He is the son of the late George and Margaret Vance Griffith. He is also preceded in death by one son Eric Griffith and one brother Douglas Griffith.

George was retired from Timet where he was a maintenance engineer for 30 years. He was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church and it’s choir for over 43 years. George was also a member of the Steubenville Players and the Ohio Valley Chorale Society.   

Surviving are his wife JoAnn Fox Griffith, whom he married May 3, 1958; one son Gregg Griffith of Steubenville; two daughters Teresa (Tom) Ossio of Wintersville and Michelle (Don) Billé of Tippecanoe, OH; daughter in law Terri Griffith; one sister Jean Flitcraft of Canton, OH; five grandchildren Jessica, Joseph, Rebecca, Stephanie and Rachel; two great grandchildren Isabella and Henry.

Calling hours will be Monday from 4-7 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. A funeral liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 am at St. Peter Catholic Church. Entombment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
