George G. Sandonas

George G. Sandonas, 92, of Wintersville died Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at Weirton Medical Center. He was born November 14, 1931 in Chios, Greece. He is the son of the late Costas and Alexandra Samatas Sandonas. He is also preceded in death by his wife Angela Rangos Sandonas and son Gus Sandonas.

George was retired from Weirton Steel Tin Mill where he worked for over 30 years. He was an active member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church where he was a member of Ahepa and the Chios Society.

Surviving are son John (Diane) Sandonas of Castle Shannon, PA; daughter Alex (Dick) Tressler of Wintersville; sister Angela Sandonas of Greece; daughter-in-law Mary Pappas-Sandonas; four grandchildren John, Dean, Hope and Alexia.

Viewing will be held Saturday from 9 am until time of services at 11 am at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. Entombment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
