Gloria J. Nicol

Gloria J. Nicol, 94, of Steubenville passed away surrounded by family on Thursday, February 23, 2023 at the Carriage Inn of Steubenville. She was born August 13, 1928 in Steubenville. She is the daughter of the late Luigi and Anna Ferrelli Basso. She is also preceded in death by her husband Andrew Nicol and sister Mary Kanoskie.

Gloria worked at Marlinn’s Shoe Store and at the Hub 2nd Floor Shoes. She also liked to go to the Primetime Senior Center, was a member of the Democratic Women’s Association and loved to line dance and play cards.   

Surviving are one son Gary (Lori) Nicol of Wilmington, NC; one daughter Debbie (Patsy) DiAngelo of Myrtle Beach, SC; three grandchildren Andy (Kathy) Nicol, Michelle (Scott) DiAngelo and Mindy Zink; seven great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren.

Calling hours will be held Monday from 3-6 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11 am at the funeral home, Pastor David Shores will officiate. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
