Henry "Hank" Melet

Henry “Hank” Melet, 76, passed away October 25, 2023, under Hospice care in South Carolina where he was surrounded by his sisters. He was born in Steubenville on November 20, 1946 to the late Henry & Teresa (Lascaro) Melet.

He lived in Northern Virginia for the past 48 years where he worked on government contracts at the Pentagon, CACI & LMI. Henry is a 1964 graduate of Steubenville Catholic Central High School & a 1968 graduate of Ohio State University where he earned his Bachelors of Science degree. He also earned a Masters in Mathematics & a Doctorate in Theology. He served in the United States Air Force from 1970-1980.

He is survived by his two sisters, Sharon (John) Walsh of Florida & Terri (Dan) Lash of South Carolina and several nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held Monday from 3-6 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. A funeral liturgy with Mass will be Tuesday at 10 am at Holy Family Catholic Church, Fr. Drake McCalister will celebrate. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
