Hilda A. ‘Heath’ Cowser, of Steubenville, passed peacefully on January 30, 2021 at UPMC Shadyside Hospital after a valiant third battle against cancer.

The daughter of the late Ralph and Sophie Heath, she was born on April 26, 1937 in Greensboro, NC.

Hilda was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles B.; her son Terry “TT”; and her brothers, Pete, Billy, and Nicky Heath.

Surviving are her children, Charles D. (Lisa) of Steubenville, Tony (Cheryl) of Palm Springs, FL, and Tina (Doug Smith) of Brilliant; her sister, Nedra Walton of Hampton, VA; seven grandchildren, Kara, Kayleigh, Cameron, Kasey, Bud, Daniel, and Leeann; six great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Hilda was an avid sports fan and loved most, Big Red Sports and the Steelers. She was most comfortable when at her beach, Carolina Beach, NC, sipping on a Pepsi with her flip flops on. Hilda was quietly and generously philanthropic.

There will be no calling hours. Internment will be private.

Memorial contributions maybe made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or a charity of your choice in Hilda’s name.
