James A. Clark, 79, of Wintersville, died Friday August 8, 2025 at AGH. He was born June 16, 1946 in Steubenville. He is the son of the late Pearl Ova Vanscoy Clark Rouse. James is also preceded in death by his first wife; Betty Anderson Clark, brother, Larry Clark and sister, Betty Anderson, and step father, Tom Rouse.
James was a member of Colliers United Methodist Church, served his country in the US Army serving in Vietnam, and was retired from Weirton Steel where he worked as a mill wright for many years. He was also a former Boy Scout Master, with four eagle scouts, and one reaching his goal of being a game warden. He was also a former band parent at Brooke High School.
Surviving are his wife; Darlynn Sue (McAbee) Clark, one son, Randy Lee Clark of Steubenville, two daughters, Tracy Lynn Gilchrist of Wellsburg,WV, Tammie Renee (Brian) Eger of Imperial, PA, two sisters, Shirley Jean (Jonsey) Jones of Rayland, Donna Lee (Jim Davis) Freeland of Wintersville, and a step daughter, Amber Nicole (Daniel) Dowdle of Bloomingdale; Seven grandchildren Megan, Jacob, Jeremy, Dylan, Kaitlyn, Shane, Trevor and fur baby Molly.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 3-7 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. A funeral service will be held Friday at the funeral home at 11 am, Pastor James Rahr will officiate. Burial will follow in Highland Hills Cemetery.
