James Fisher Obituary

James W. Fisher, 79, of Mingo Jct. Died Monday August 19, 2019 at the UPMC Presbyterian Hospital ER. He was born January 17, 1940 in Steubenville. He is the son of the late Brooks and Maude Baer Fisher. Also preceding him in death are his infant son Jon; brother Carl “Dude” Fisher and nephew Leo Buffone.

James was retired from Indian Creek Schools where he was a custodian for many years. He was also a member of the Teamsters and was a truck driver for Penn Ohio Towel. He was also a retired Captain for the Mingo Jct. Fire Dept. James loved fishing, hunting and was a member of Mingo Sportsman’s Club. He also liked to play golf in the “Roma Golf Club”.

Surviving are his long time companion Missy Talamonti; mother of his children Carol Roof Fisher; two sons James (Patty) Fisher of Centerville, VA and Jeffrey (Laura) Fisher of New Manchester, WV; two daughters Joan Fisher (Companion Eric Reszke) of Mingo Jct. and Jackie (Paul) Reinacher of Mingo Jct.; one sister Llelia (Leo) Buffone of Steubenville; five grandchildren and one great granddaughter.

Calling hours will be Friday from 3pm until the time of services 6 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. Burial will take place at a later date at Oakland Cemetery, Mingo Jct.
