James Douglas Matuska, 68, of Weirton died Sunday, April 19, 2020 at his home. He was born February 23, 1952 in Steubenville. He is the son of the late Joseph and Helen Bonovich Matuska. He is also preceded in death by his wife Antoinette “Toni” who died December 23, 2015. They were married November 25, 1998, she was the love of his life.
Jim attended the College of Steubenville and worked at Weirton Steel until his retirement. He then worked for U.S. Air at the Pittsburgh International Airport. Jim and his wife were avid Steeler fans. He enjoyed music and attended many different concerts.
He is survived by his brother Joseph (Maryannette) Matuska of Steubenville; step-son Bob (Ann) Wright of Wintersville; three step-grandchildren Skylyn, Raven and Aidan; his two faithful Pugs Maylee and Mika, who will need forever homes.
A private funeral liturgy with Mass was held Wednesday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church and burial followed in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
