Obituary

James “Jim” J. Orlando, 81, of Steubenville died Wednesday, April 20, 2023 at Valley Hospice at Trinity West. He was born January 31, 1942 in Steubenville. He is the son of the late Sam and Dora DeFalco Orlando.

He is survived by his wife, Pam Orlando, his sons, Jimmy (Jennifer) Orlando and Michael (Michelle) Orlando, grandchildren, Alicia, Sarah, Amberle, JJ, Sam, Max, and Reni, his brother, Sam (JoAnne) Orlando, six great-grand kids, Uncle Anthony Orlando, Aunt Anne (Joe) Restifo, in-laws Artie Joe Baldauf (Sandy), Pat Yoder, best friends Jim and Mary Kay Sweeney, and many nieces and nephews.

Jim and Pam were married October 5, 1963 and would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this October.

Jim was a 1959 graduate of Steubenville Catholic Central, US Army Veteran, and a lifelong coach.  He retired from the City of Steubenville where he served as Director of Parks and Recreation.

Calling hours will be held Wednesday, April 26 from 3-6 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. A funeral liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Thursday, April 27 at 11 am at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Fr. Matthew Gossett will celebrate. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Steubenville Catholic Central Football Program, 320 Westview Avenue, Steubenville 43952.
