Janet Cicone

Janet (Jeanette) Cicone, 97, of Steubenville, died September 5, 2024 at Gables Care Center in Hopedale. She was born August 22, 1927  in McKeesport, PA. She is the daughter of the late Thomas and Isabella (Lawson) Muir. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Cicone; brother, Thomas Muir III; sisters, Alice Muir and Davena Williamson.

Surviving are her son Thomas (Camille) Cicone of Wintersville and many nieces and nephews.

Janet was Presbyterian by faith. She was employed at the M&M bank prior to her marriage. She was a homemaker and excellent cook who took pride in caring for her family and her home. She was a caring and generous individual. Her most simple pleasure was sending and receiving greeting cards.

The family would like to express our gratitude to the wonderful, caring, and selfless care she received from the employees of Gables Care Center and Valley Hospice.

Private services were held at Mosti Funeral Home with Rev. Jason Elliott officiating. Entombment followed in Mt Calvary Cemetery.
