Janice E. Cornelius

Janice E. Cornelius, 73, of Steubenville died Thursday, September 5, 2024 at her home. She was born November 22, 1950 in Steubenville. She is the daughter of the late Elmer “Dick” and Jane Heatherington Cornelius.

Janice was a Teacher and Guidance Counselor at Steubenville City Schools for many years. She enjoyed being the score keeper for Big Red Baseball. Janice was an avid bowler and reader. She was a graduate of Steubenville High School Class of 1969.  

Surviving are brother Richard (Kathy) Cornelius of Summerfield, NC; sister Suzanne (Craig) Arthurs of Steubenville; son Dunyasha “Tubbo” Yetts of Steubenville; granddaughter Isabella Yetts; three nephews Shaun (Jodee) and Jay (Teresa) Arthurs, Will (Kim) Cornelius; many great nieces, one great nephew and many cousins.

Visitation will be held Wednesday from 3pm to 6pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. A funeral service will be held Thursday at 10 am at the funeral home, Pastor Jason Elliott will officiate. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to the Steubenville High School Scholarship Fund.
