Joanne Reynard

Joanne Reynard (Montalbano) of Wintersville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 31, 2024. She was born on November 14, 1944, in Steubenville, to the late Joseph and Inez (Sperduti) Montalbano.

Joanne is preceded in death by her husband Kyron Reynard. They were married in 1970 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Steubenville.

Surviving are her son Douglas (Jennifer) Reynard of Wadsworth, OH; sister, Barbara (Ron) Jordan of York SC; brother Joseph (Rob) Montalbano of Bradenton, FL; nephews Bryan (Jasmine) Jordan, Gary Reynard, Matt Reynard; nieces Melanie (Tom) Needham and Stacy Reynard and sister-in-law Shirley Porter.

She graduated from Steubenville Catholic Central High School in 1962 and later from Florence UTT Beauty Academy. She honed her passion by teaching continuing education classes and working as a stylist for over 30 years, where her smile and uplifting disposition formed countless friendships. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Wintersville.

Joanne was happiest when she was surrounded by family and friends. She will be remembered as the person who welcomed everyone and whose door was always opened to sit for a chat and a fresh cup of coffee. She was well loved by all and will be greatly missed.

Calling hours will be held Thursday from 3pm to 6pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. A funeral liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Friday at 10 am at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Entombment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
