John D. Bowers II

John D. Bowers II, 58, of Steubenville, formerly of Follansbee, died Monday, January 5, 2025 at Valley Hospice. He was born February 8, 1967 in Wheeling, WV. He is the son of the late John and Janis McVay Bowers.

John worked in security for many years. He was a graduate of Brooke High School class of 1985. John was a lifelong fan WVU football. John also proudly served his country in the U.S. Army.

Surviving are two sons, Joshua (fiancée Amanda) Bowers of Columbus and Tyler (Erin) Bowers of Weirton, WV; daughter Tayler Bowers of Wintersville; brother Kevin (Kim) Bowers of Steubenville; sister Megan (Jim) Marquis of Wintersville; two grandchildren Mikha and Jamison.

Memorial visitation will be held Saturday from 12 pm until time of services at 2 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville.

The family is requesting donations to be made to the family to help off set the costs of the funeral.
