John D. Bray, Jr.

John D. Bray Jr., 80, of Wintersville died Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at Weirton Medical Center. He was born June 23, 1945 in East Liverpool, OH. He is the son of the late John Bray Sr. and Wilma Noltemyer Bray Mentzer. He is also preceded in death by his, step father, Elmer Mentzer, and Step brother, Jim Mentzer

John was retired from Sign America where he was a purchasing agent. He also very involved with the Boy Scouts.  

Surviving are his wife Shirley Jean Bray; son John (Anna) Bray III of Lakewood, CO; daughter Janine Bray Madden and the father of her children Clint Madden of Spanish Fort, AL; grandchildren Ashlynd, Ansley, Keegan, Jace and Leah; step brother Timothy (Diane) Mentzer; four nephews Michael, Patrick, Jimmy and Scott Mentzer; two niece Mindy Mentzer Oister and Michele Mentzer Kelly.   

Memorial visitation will be held Tuesday, March 24, from 1 pm until time of services at 2 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery.
