John A. Cominotti

COMINOTTI, John, age 90, of Steubenville, Ohio passed away on Sunday, June 22, 2025.  He was born on July 13, 1934 in Mingo Junction, Ohio, the son of Anthony and Elizabeth (DiThomas) Cominotti. He was a devoted husband and a stepfather to four children, ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

He was a proud U.S. Army Veteran and later held the position of CEO at Community Savings Bank in Yorkville, Ohio. John was a big fan of Notre Dame football, steadfast in his admiration for the Fighting Irish. He also valued his Italian heritage, honoring its traditions and principles as guiding influences throughout his life.

John was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Susanne (Hegner) Cominotti. He is survived by four stepchildren: Victoria (David) Vacala, Lisa (George) Ains, Gregory (Lauren) Chesson and Eric (Kristina) Chesson. Grandchildren: Angela Parlamenti, Ronald Chesson, Summer Thurman, George Ains, Gregory Chesson, Kylie Vacala, Vincent Ains, Theodore Chesson, Victoria Chesson and Michael Chesson and great grandchildren Liam Chesson and Autumn Parlamenti.

There will be no visitation and funeral services will be private.
