John M. Frey Sr.

John Michael Frey Sr., 55 of Toronto,  passed on Saturday August 28, 2021 at his home. He was born May 23, 1966 in Steubenville. He was the owner of Frey’s Contracting for 30 years.  He has been battling his illness for several years. John is the son of Sandra Frey D’Anniballe and the late Franklin Derrial Frey Sr. Also preceding him in death are his grandson Hayden Michael Frey and step father Robert D’Anniballe.

John married his high school sweetheart Suzanne, for 37 years, and been together for 38 years. That was his love of his life.

John was a hard worker until his sickness took over his life. He could do anything when he put his mind to it. He was the mechanic when everyone’s car broke down. He would do anything for his family. If John couldn’t fix it no one could. He loved all 7 his grand babies so much. He also loved his Cadillac.

John was the jokester of the family. He used to make everyone laugh, no matter the mood. The jokes he used to tell everyone would instantly put a smile on your face and make you laugh to almost crying.

John Leaves behind, in addition to his mother, his wife Suzanne K. (Brown) Frey whom he married on July 6, 1985; two children his son John Michael (Stephanie) Frey Jr. and his daughter Elizabeth (Donald) Burch both of Toronto; his 7 amazing Grand babies, Lilly, Roxy, Bentley, Mason, Leland, Ryley, Alexis; his brother Frank (Michele) Frey Jr. and his sister Donna McCutheon, both of Steubenville.

Calling hours will be Wednesday from 10 am until times of services at 1 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville.  Burial will follow in Highland Hills Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the funeral home to help offset funeral expenses.
