John Hanlin Obituary

John Hanlin, 81, of Wintersville died Sunday, December 7, 2025 at Trinity West. He was born May 16, 1944 in Martins Ferry. He is the son of the late Elza “Buck” and Blanch Jones Hanlin. Also preceding him in death are his wife Anna Elaine Williams Hanlin; brothers Jim, Martin, Bobby, Billy, Eugene and Donald; sisters Thelma, JoAnn and Mary Lou.

John was retired from United Dairy where he was a delivery driver for many years. He also spent time working in the kitchen at the Prime Time Center. John was a member of First Westminster Presbyterian Church and the Steel Valley Antique Car Club.  

Surviving are two daughters Michele (John) Gentile of Steubenville and Janice (James) Staten of St. Clairsville; extra special family Robert (Shari), Morgan and Hunter Staten; three grandchildren Chayse (Carolyn) Staten, Casey (Gabe) Wise, Noah (Ashley) Staten and great grandson Theo Wise.

Visitation will be held Wednesday from 2:00 pm until time of services at 6:00 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. Pastor Jason Elliott will officiate.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Prime Time Center, 300 Lovers Lane, Steubenville, OH 43953.
