John B. Meadows passed away peacefully at his home on February 11, 2025, at the age of 75. Born in Steubenville to the late Daniel and Kathryn Meadows, John graduated from Steubenville High School and proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam war. He enjoyed a fulfilling career, retiring after 37 years with US Can.
John is preceded in death by his two brothers, Richard and Dana Meadows, and two sisters, Carol DiMaria and Shirley Mark.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Merinda “Rinnie” Cicone Meadows, whom he married in 1973. He was a cherished father to his daughter, Autumn Diligente, and her husband, Jonnie. John greatly enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, Santino and Liliana Diligente. The Diligente family resides in Brunswick. He also leaves behind his sisters, Barb Kowalsky, Sandy (Steve) Houchin, and Lynda Spence, along with many nieces and nephews.
John, known for his warmth and humor, took pleasure in hobbies such as fishing, gardening, and crafting, and he loved sharing these pastimes with others. He will be remembered for his humility, kindness, and the love he had for his family and friends. In accordance with John's wishes, there will be no formal services.
