John Michael Sellaroli of Wintersville, OH, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on December 21, 2021. John was born on November 1, 1975. He is the son of LaDonna L. Morris (Adkins) and the late John A. Sellaroli Jr.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents Gene and Este Adkins and John and Michelina “Mickie” Sellaroli; his father, John; his step-father, Lew Morris and grandmother Lettie.
John is survived by his mother, LaDonna Morris; three sisters, Tammy (Jack II) Lowther, Michelle (Vincent) Buisset, Stacey (Jason) Pinkerton; brother Josh (Lisa) Morris; foster brother, Andy; beloved nieces and nephews, Wynnonah, Jack III, Raymond, Adele, Louis, Tess, Noah, Megan, Mia, Ava; four great nieces, Jemma, Charlotte, Aliyah, Marlo; His step mother, Janice Sellaroli, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was a graduate of Negaunee High School, MI, class of 1993.
John was a devout Catholic and his pastimes included reading, writing and engaging in religious and philosophical discussions with his friends. His generous nature and positive outlook have been an inspiration to many. His insightful posts on social media have uplifted and comforted family and friends alike.
John was born with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and has had many obstacles to overcome, which he did with great faith and his characteristic smile and twinkle in his eyes. Due to the extraordinary care his mother provided, John surpassed his life expectancy by 30 years. He was amazing - a true miracle.
With the remarkable care of Valley Hospice, John was able to remain at home, surrounded by his family, where he wanted to be. Thank you Valley Hospice staff for your excellent care and compassion.
John will be greatly missed.
There will be a funeral liturgy with Mass held Monday at 1 pm at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Visitation will then be held Monday after Mass from 3-6 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville.
