Obituary

Joseph F. Perko, Sr., 90, of Steubenville, died September 25, 2020, at home. He was born on August 3, 1930, in Slovan, PA. He was the son of the late Fred and Josephine Bartony Perko. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Dolores (Dolly) Duff Perko, two sons, Thomas and Joseph (Joe, Jr.), a brother, Charles and son-in-law Troy Murray. 

Joseph worked at Weirton Steel, was a member of the 25 year Club and was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.

Joe is survived by one daughter, Mary Jo Murray, of Glenshaw, PA; one son, Al (Darlene) of Steubenville; one sister, Adelene Gehrke; daughter-in-law, Mary Beth Perko, of Baldwin, PA; seven grandchildren, Kristen (Joe) Roe, Monica (JP) Jones, Tom (Kate) Perko, Joshua (Jennifer) Perko, Shane, Colin, and Bridget; nine great grandchildren, Kylie, Justin, Kami, Matthew, Nicholas, Mikey, Logan, James,and Benjamin.

Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 3-6 pm at Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. A funeral liturgy with Mass will be held on Wednesday, at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, Msgr. Gerald Calovini will celebrate. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.  

Memorial contributions may be made to Catholic Central High School, 320 West View, Steubenville, OH, 43952.

Masks are required and social distancing will be expected.
