Joseph A. Sciarra, Jr.

Joseph A. Sciarra, Jr., 78, of Steubenville died Sunday, September 26, 2021 at Trinity West. He was born May 16, 1943 in Steubenville. He is the son of the late Joseph Sr. and Florence Graziani Sciarra.

Joseph was retired from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel where he worked for many years. He was a member of Triumph of the Cross Parish. Joseph was a graduate of Steubenville Catholic Central High School class of 1961. Joseph was a gentle, kind, church-going man. He never turned away a person in need. He donated to many charities and helped his family whenever asked.

Surviving are his niece Cheryl (Jon) Grim of Cumberland, OH; three great nephews Jon Jr., Russell and Thomas; two great nieces Yvonne and Kelli; six great great nephews Anthony, Kevin, Ryan, James, Jesse and Malachi; three great great nieces Audrey, Saleen and Emma.

A Memorial Mass will be held Friday at Noon at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Burial will be private and at a later date in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
